You need to get the MyBoy emulator for your Android device. The one we are using for this guide is the paid version.
We cannot if trading works perfectly for the emulator’s free version. Feel free to do so as the features may still be available. Just go to the Google Play Store and the MyBoy emulator.

But any ROM version of these games will do.
How to Trade from Pokemon FireRed to Pokemon Emerald Using MyBoy
Step 1: Launch Pokemon FireRed

Step 2: Go to the Pokemon Center’s Wireless Union
For this step, head to any Pokemon Center and go to the second floor. If it’s your first time, several dialogues will pop up, so just finish them.

Step 3: Click on the Options Box and then Link Local

Step 4: Click ANOTHER GAME and Choose Pokemon Emerald

Step 5: Go to the Pokemon Center’s Wireless Union (Pokemon Emerald)
This time, do the same thing you did for Pokemon FireRed. Head to any Pokemon Center and go to the second floor for the Wireless Union Trade.

IMPORTANT: For Steps 6 onwards, you will be switching between games in any order that you want.
Step 6: Start the Trade and Save for Both Games
Talk to the NPC to initiate a trade. Both games will ask you to save your progress before switching to the other game.
Once you confirm the saving features for both games, the characters will be sent to the Trade Room.

Step 7: Have the Characters Seat on the Chairs and Start the Trade
Have the characters sit in their respective chairs and initiate the trade for both sides.

Step 8: Choose Which Pokemon to Trade
For each game, pick the Pokemon you want to trade. Only one Pokemon can be traded at a time.

Step 9: Finalize the Trade
You’ll then be sent to the images below, where you can finalize the trade.

Step 10: The Trading Process
Once both games have been confirmed, the trade will begin. It doesn’t matter which game you view the trading and wait for it to finish.
NOTE: Trade evolution Pokemon will evolve after the trade unless you want to cancel it.

Step 11: Continue or End Trading
If you wish to continue trading, simply do Step 8 again. If not, then cancel the trade and have one character exit the room.
Both games will save, and the characters will be back in their respective Pokemon Centers. Check your new Pokemon and make sure everything was processed correctly.

Why Use the Trade Feature?
It’s true that it could be easier to just use some Pokemon Emerald cheats. However, it is a nice alternative for some people who want to do it in a sort of legitimate way. The games won’t crash or be corrupted anyway, so try it out.
In Closing
There it is, a complete guide to teach you how to trade from Pokemon FireRed to Pokemon Emerald using MyBoy.
The challenge here is getting the ROMs, since they can be hard to find. The MyBoy emulator, on the other hand, is available online with free versions in APK form.
MyBoy’s paid version isn’t expensive, and you can always play other Pokemon games and ROM hacks using it as well as non-Pokemon GBA games.
